Highlights

 Yasmin performed the Schumann piano concerto at Chichester cathedral on 24th October 2017 – one of the largest ever at this sort of event in the Cathedral.

The photo below left is of the audience half an hour before it began. When they ran out of seats they filled the choir stalls and galleries. John Baldson of Willowhayne Records (extreme left) is preparing to record the concerto.

The right hand photo is with the conductor, Mark Hartt-Palmer, in a pub just across the road from the cathedral shortly afterwards where they enjoyed a well-deserved celebration.

Yasmin plays with great authority…The 2^nd movement was lyrical and there was some lovely detail in the piano’s descending arpeggios. The cadenza was a delight. Yasmin was obviously much more interested in engaging the audience musically than using it to show off her undeniable technique. As it was it sounded at times as though she was playing a duet! There was a flawless transition to the 3^rd movement…

Y-Squared were invited to tour China in April 2017. It was an amazing experience. Their concert at the Shanghai Concert Hall was sold out, broadcast live, and a spectacular highlight.

While on her tour of China in April 2017, Yasmin was asked to deliver a masterclass at Shanghai University. Although English was her students’ second language she thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Yasmin received a Certificate of Appreciation “For your tireless dedication and outstanding contribution in working with our students we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Just four students were selected to undertake this postgraduate diploma in 2013 and Yasmin was honoured to be the only pianist. She gave a recital to a packed audience, including many friends and relatives, in the Carole Nash Recital Room at the RNCM on 24 January 2014 as part of the course.

Yasmin was awarded her Postgraduate International Artist Diploma in Solo Performance on 24 June 2014, the culmination of seven incredible years of study, performance, adventure and friendship.

Silver waves crashing against a craggy cliff, that’s an image that came to mind. Rowe’s style is characterised by a restless, relentless dynamism. She is an athletic pianist.

Prokofiev’s Sonata No 6 in A major was the centrepiece of a superb recital, which also included works by Haydn, Janacek, Scriabin and Chopin.

A memorable concert from an accomplished and mature talent.

Yasmin performed the Mozart K141 concerto in the Ian Roach Hall with the Pro Musica Orchestra on 21 July 2018 as part of the Scotch College Piano Festival.

She was also delighted to be a member of the adjudication panel for the festival’s piano competition.

Y-Squared’s debut at Elizabeth Murdoch Hall – Melbourne Recital Centre

The concert kicked off with a stunning rendition of Martinu’s Variations on a Theme of Rossini. The Sonata for Piano and Cello by Beethoven followed suit, showcasing Yasmin’s prowess over the ivory keys. Kapustin’s Nearly Waltz and Elegy were delicious musical treats that neatly tied off the first half of the programme.
